Villa Pueblo Penthouse Remodel

  • Pueblo, Colorado
  • Senior housing commons space remodel
  • $2 Million

Program

The existing tallest building in the city of Pueblo, an independent senior housing tower built in the 1970’s, was in need of an upgrade. The existing tower’s penthouse held world class views of the Colorado Front Range Mountains, but was underutilized. Corridors and elevators were to be upgraded as well.

Solution

The existing penthouse was expanded and greatly improved to create a setting for both residents and guest rentals as a wedding or event space. An ante room adjacent and open to the elevator lobby was created to serve as a smaller informal space to meet guest. A bar space and serving/catering kitchen allowed for greatly expanded food service and ambiance. Bathrooms and existing grand fireplace were updated. All lighting and finishes were replaced. Two large rooftop decks were created where only maintenance roof access had existed before, tripling the capacity of the space. A large pergola provides shade to the southern‐facing deck.
